Performance

Improving the performance of interiorcad 2017 remains one of our main goals in the interiorcad 2017 cycle (some improvements were delivered with interiorcad 2017 F4 already, more performance improvements are on the way). In interiorcad 2017 F5, time needed to regenerate cabinets with a substantial number of connectors has been cut in half. Additionally, deleting a large number of fittings or line drillings is way faster now.

Fitting Pricing Update

Prices of fittings used by Cabinet 3D can now be updated via the revamped Import Data... dialog.

Maestro CNC

An additional NC export is available for SCM Maestro CNC.

Cuttinglist Export

  • The dialog Production Settings contains the new cuttinglist configuration
    • File names and partially extensions can be customized
    • Sorting is customized
    • Most cuttinglist exports can optionally cumulate the fittings, depending on the sorting
  • New "Cuttinglist (Excel)" with more options as the previous cutting list for parts, fittings or complete (each for file or clipboard)
  • Cuttinglists which are exported to the clipboard exclusively have been renamed to contain the suffix (Clipboard)
  • Other improvements
    • SchellingHPO now outputs the thickness of coverings too
    • SchnittProfit has 3 new columns containing the full paths of the NC programs
    • OSD transfers the quantity that is defined by the item, as defined in the dialog Project Details

Bugfixes

  • Insert Wooden Drawer - Width of dado of wooden drawer was ignored
  • Tutorial dialog could not be closed in some cases after appearance
  • Fitting system - Rotated grid drillings do not retain grid properties
  • profacto Export - Thickness of Custom Part coverings are exported
  • Custom Part - Create from selection converts arcs to Custom Parts properly
  • Update Custom Part Connections - Crashes on macOS fixed
  • Improved grids for grid drillings
  • Textures in folders of the current document can be now be used for Custom Part and Cabinets
  • Fixed a crash while copying VW documents to the user folder using Edit/Adapt Fittings
  • Assign Project Item works better with alpha-numeric position numbers
  • Hinges for angular Cabinets work again
  • System drawers - Back holders for some Häfele Tandembox Antaro were missing
  • Hinges - Positioning at the right side of double doors and for dual use hinges fixed

NC-Export

  • The dialog Production Settings does not crash any more if the NC export found in the preferences is no longer known
  • Log file containing warnings & errors was not written / displayed properly on macOS
  • Improvements
    • woodWOP - contours with @0, depth of dados corrected
    • GannoMAT - correct end of line after macros
    • DXF - Some polylines were not exported correctly
    • NC-Hops - slanted routed dados with correct coordinates
  • Horizontal drillings, 5-axis-drillings and NC-macros do work correctly on mirrored Custom Parts
  • Horizontal drillings were exported multiple times, e.g. as additional 5-axis-drillings
  • For some Custom Parts with polyline-based shapes dimensions were not exported to NC properly

Cabinet 3D

  • The front panel of "front mounted" plinths is no longer allowed to be shifted inwards
  • Generate the correct width of the back if a side was extended to the back
  • Changing the a covering's thickness wasn't reflected in the cuttinglist exports
  • Handles and legs - Textures are now imported correctly if texture is not available in current document
  • Hinges - Descriptions of various Blum hinges improved
  • Insert Drawer - Drawer should be inserted properly if the Cabinet is mirrored
  • Cabinet Settings Dialog - Cancelling the dialog resulted in lacking parts in cutting lists
  • Assign classes for scribe coverings correctly
  • Groovecaptured back is created as shown in the dialog
  • Do not crash after creating classes in the Cabinet dialog
  • Crash in front division when trying to assign materials for a non-existing part

Cabinet Classic

  • Handles can again be deleted using the dialog Fittings
  • Handles on doors and blind fronts can be removed more easily by clicking on the front image preview
