While the Cabinet Maker (Classic) provides many parametric options, the new Cabinet 3D, as introduced in interiorcad 2013, is much more flexible and very easy to use. Whenever possible, this tool should be used in preference to the Cabinet Maker (Classic). Its highlights include:

  • Easy to use.
  • Its components are built of Custom Parts 3D.
  • Tools such as Drilling 3D can be used to apply connector drillings or cutouts.
  • The creation of cutting lists and NC programs is done directly from the 3D geometry, without the need to create a part layout first.

The german version of Vectorworks Architektur contains three cabinet plug-ins, Wardrobe, Sideboard, and Shelf. interiorcad is capable of converting those plugins into cabinets without any data loss. This ensures a perfect workflow from the planning done by architects and remodellers to the ones who actually build the objects, including the optional NC output.
